The David H. Murdock Research Institute (DHMRI) was established in 2008 to serve as the core laboratory for partners of the NC Research Campus. DHMRI scientists works with corporate, academic, non-profit and government scientists worldwide who are interested in applying the institute’s advanced instrumentation to advance the fields of human health, nutrition, and agriculture. Supported in part by contributions from David H. Murdock, Chairman of Dole Foods and owner of Castle & Cooke, DHMRI promotes a level of scientific partnership never before possible.
The North Carolina Research Campus (NCRC), created by visionary David H. Murdock, is home to academic, corporate, healthcare, and technology partners all working to stimulate discovery and foster exchange that will improve human health, nutrition and agriculture in order to prevent and treat disease and enhance longevity and quality of life.
